Stitch Fix #4

So, I got my September Fix and was SUPER excited. Before I share my fix, let me take sometime to explain what Stitch Fix is.

Stitch Fix is a personal shopping/styling service. You fill out a personal style profile, answer some questions, and then for $20.00 a personal stylist picks 5 items for each fix and sends them to the comfort of your home. The stylist looks at your style preferences, size, and any recommendations into consideration. You can make recommendations for special events, such as, a wedding, vacation, etc. on upcoming fixes. With each fix, they send you styling guides to help you pair the items sent up with things that you might already have. After you try on the items that they sent, you log into your account and decide whether or not you are going to keep them or send them back at check out. If you decide to keep anything, the $20 styling fee will be credited towards your purchase. If you choose to keep all of the items, a 25% discount will be applied to your purchase. Any items that you decide not to keep, just simply place them into the prepaid envelope and mail out. It's that simple!

With this fix, I don't have pictures of myself trying on the outfits. I had caught a stomach bug earlier in the week and although I was over it, I just didn't feel up to having my picture taken. I did take pictures of the clothes and will tell you about each item. I opened the box and took out my fix.

Look how nicely wrapped my fix was. I slowly unwrapped the tissue paper to reveal my fix.
I see potential. I saw chevron in my favorite colors, a lovely pink shirt, a necklace, and a pair of pants. I then took out the styling cards and tore them apart. Every fix comes with styling cards. These are suggests from your stylist on what they think would look good with each item. I began looking through my closet to see if I had any of these suggestions. Here are my styling cards and my note from my stylist.

3 out of the 4 cards suggested to pair the tops with the jeans in my fix. The necklace had a card but it was blank so I didn't take a picture of it. After I was able to pair up each item with something from my closet or within in the fix, I tried them on. I'll fill you in on how each idea was after each picture.

First up was the Chevron Tank.

I LOVED the colors, the pattern, and even that it was a tank. See I live in South Florida and it is HOT. This shirt would be perfect for to wear down here. I LOVED everything about it until I tried it on. It was tight around the chest. It still looked okay, but I just wasn't comfortable in it.

Next up was the Pink Shirt.
I LOVED the color. Pink looks good on me. I tried it on with the jeans that were in the fix. I thought the shirt fit pretty well. My husband said that it looked like I had an apron on. LOL! Men! Don't they understand anything about style. LOL! After his statement, I looked at it anything and even though it fit very well and I liked it. I wasn't comfortable with the fact that the back was pretty shear. I definitely couldn't wear this at work. I wouldn't feel comfortable with my students seeing my bra.

I then tried on the jeans, the white short sleeved cardigan, and the necklace from the fix.

I paired these items with a pink tank that I had. I LOVED how the jeans felt on. They are a skinny jean and at first I was a little weary about them. Well, there was nothing to be weary about. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE them! They fit great and are the perfect length. The white short sleeved cardigan was also a perfect match. It is very light weight which is ideal for South Florida weather and I can easily pair it with anything. The necklace, however, I was not a fan of. It definitely was not my style. Don't get me wrong! I LOVE accessories, but this was not me.

Overall, I was pretty happy with my fix. I kept 2 out of the 5 items. What did you think about my fix? Let me know. Even tell me about yours if you are receiving them. I would love to hear from you.
